In 1805, Madame Clicquot, a 27-year-old widow, took over the reins of the Maison founded in Reims in 1772 and became one of the first business women in history. Bold and visionary, she made her champagne known throughout the world Know-how and craftsmanship: For more than 200 years, the Maison has remained true to its motto: "Only one quality, the best"

Gastronomic pairings

It will be delicious with starters or appetizers made with shellfish and noble fish (oysters, prawns, monkfish or sanmartín)

TASTING NOTE

SIGHT

Intense color with golden reflections. Very small and bright bubbles.

NOSE

The initial nose reveals a saline, mineral background, then floral notes (acacia, peony) appear, notes of fresh fruit (peach, pear) and, finally, more toasted notes of hazelnuts and toasted almonds. When shaken, the bouquet becomes rich and voluptuous, with notes of brioche, nougat, ginger and preserved lemon.

PALATE

On the palate, it is spongy and full of substance. The texture is crunchy and silky. The minerality of the chalk blends brilliantly with the cool structure and contributes to the length of the finish. The final note is fresh and generous, which denotes a careful and long aging period after disgorging, and does not disturb the natural balance of the wine.
